 MARS PATHFINDER http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/default.html The Mars Pathfinder Mission has renewed the public's interest in NASA's Mars program. The spectacular images captured by the lander have given us the chance to share the journey with the Sojourner Rover, seeing the Martian surface through its perspective.
The mission is primarily an engineering mission, demonstrating technologies and concepts for eventual use in future missions to Mars. Pathfinder also delivers science instruments to the surface of Mars to investigate the structure of the Martian atmosphere, weather and geology.
